The Berklee Deck

An urban campus building for the Berklee School of Music, drawing from the experimentation, failure, and collaboration involved in building a house of cards.

Shuffling acts as a generative design tool, arranging acoustic conditions, light qualities, spatial scales, and degrees of privacy from individual practice to public performance. The project maintains seriality and continuity while producing variations on a theme.
